About the role

  • Associate Account Manager providing day-to-day support to Account Managers for small to mid-market clients. Focusing on operational and technical work related to employee benefits, including quoting and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to a team of Account Managers across a shared book of small to mid-market clients (2–250 lives)
  • Assist with quoting and renewal processes, including gathering census data, submitting to carriers, and organizing plan options
  • Prepare and review benefit comparisons and proposal materials for accuracy and completeness
  • Compile and maintain compliance materials, including required notices and regulatory documentation (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA)
  • Maintain accurate client records, files, and internal systems
  • Coordinate with carriers and vendors to obtain quotes, track submissions, and resolve discrepancies
  • Support open enrollment preparation by organizing materials and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Assist with reporting, audits, and quality control to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate closely with Account Managers to support client deliverables and timeline

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, or a related support role
  • Basic understanding of group benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
  • Life & Health insurance license (or willingness to obtain)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with benefits administration platforms and Applied EPIC
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements such as ERISA, ACA, and COBRA
