About the role

  • Inside Sales Representative managing customer accounts and inquiries for Nucor and supporting sales team. Must be self-motivated, organized, and willing to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Daily communication with external customers, sales teammates, and other NSMEM teammates.
  • Manage customer accounts (new/existing) in conjunction with DSMs.
  • Quote customer inquiries, enter customer orders, provide customer status updates, and other functions that support the NSMEM sales team.
  • Be self-motivated and have good organizational and time management skills.
  • Willing to travel frequently.
  • Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or state/local equivalent
  • 2 yrs experience in Sales in manufacturing or related field
  • 2 yrs experience using Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • 4 years min. experience in Inside Sales or a similar field
  • College degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Prior experience in Oracle
  • Prior experience with Steel products sales. SBQ Bar sales/technical sales is a plus.
