About the role

  • Leading Business Development Manager driving strategic growth in Cloud & Software for the Public and Energy industries. Utilizing technology and industry expertise to identify opportunities and strengthen client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Central role in the strategic expansion of business within defined customer segments in the Public and Energy industries
  • Leverage industry expertise and technological understanding to identify opportunities and generate growth
  • Responsibility for specific customer segments in the Public and Energy industries and for expanding business relationships
  • Identify, qualify and develop new leads and opportunities
  • Systematically increase revenue, pipeline and win rate in tenders
  • Actively position NTT DATA’s technology portfolio with decision-makers up to C-level
  • Secure strategic projects for new customer engagements with onshore and shoring teams
  • Develop compelling value propositions and confidently present to customer executives
  • Work closely with delivery, portfolio and presales teams to orchestrate innovative solutions
  • Act as a driver for new topics, proactive business development and persuasive stakeholder management through clear communication

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in IT consulting or the IT services sector within the Public or Energy industries
  • Detailed knowledge of the challenges, structures and processes of authorities, public institutions or companies in the energy sector
  • Technical and domain expertise in complex areas such as Cloud, AI, architecture or modernization
  • Excellent network in the Public and/or Energy sector, ideally up to C-level
  • Proven track record in acquiring, developing and managing projects at the intersection of business, IT and strategy
  • Strong business development and sales mindset with a solution-oriented, customer-focused approach
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills in German and English
  • University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration or a comparable qualification
