About the role

  • Specialty Sales Representative focused on generating business for NOC’s SOLO Southeast Wilderness Medicine Programs and Paddling School. Collaborating with sales and marketing teams for strategic growth.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new sales and maintain existing business for SOLO Southeast, NOC’s Paddling School, and Custom Groups
  • Maintain accurate information for prospective and booked business utilizing NOC’s software platforms, processes, and data management
  • Answer inbound guest phone calls, emails and chats
  • Prioritize, respond to and follow-up with all inbound lead inquiries
  • Conduct outbound lead generation and follow-up via cold calling and email in order to identify and grow new business opportunities
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of NOC products and processes
  • Provide guests with superior guest service via email, phone, and in-person before and after reservation completion
  • Collect deposit and balance payments in a timely fashion per NOC payment policies
  • Collaborate with all NOC departments to ensure that all guest and group bookings are executed to product/guest expectations
  • Actively develop new business opportunities in NOC’s Outdoor Schools in collaboration with operating department managers, marketing and other sales reps
  • Collaborate with Marketing Department to ensure website and collateral information is accurate and identify opportunities for new collateral and sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with Group Sales and other Specialty Representatives to identify areas for sales growth and process improvement
  • Improve processes to improve guest experience, increase efficiency, and increase revenue
  • Manage key specialty, group, and partner accounts
  • Manage special projects related to sales and marketing
  • Identify & attend trade shows to strategically maintain and grow relationships
  • Exemplify and demonstrate NOC’s Core Values and Brand Promise
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to function as a team player, take direction, as well as work autonomously
  • Self-disciplined, detail oriented, and highly organized
  • Competent with web-based applications, email, and Office 365 products
  • Passion for the outdoor industry and sharing the outdoors with others
  • Prior customer service experience (Preferred)
  • Prior sales experience with demonstrated ability to close and grow sales (Preferred)
  • Prior experience with reservation software and/or CRM (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of NOC activities and courses (Preferred)
