About the role

  • Architect and champion initiatives, processes, and structures that reinforce and enhance NCJW's organizational culture.
  • Foster an inclusive and equitable workplace environment that values diversity and promotes collaboration.
  • Oversee and update the policies of the organization, expectations of staff, and materials to support ongoing work.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent that aligns with NCJW's mission and values.
  • Design and implement professional development programs to nurture the growth and skills of employees.
  • Create, oversee, and execute an onboarding process for new employees and an offboarding process for employees leaving the organization.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms to assess and respond to the needs of the workforce.
  • Address employee relations issues promptly and effectively, promoting a positive work environment and preventing future issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Drive initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement policies that foster a fair and respectful workplace.
  • Oversee performance management processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance to managers on employee performance, coaching, and development.
  • Manage and continuously improve the organization's benefits and compensation programs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to remain competitive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in human resources leadership, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
  • Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
