Responsibilities
Responsible for designing the framework of the information systems security infrastructure and setting the vision for cybersecurity systems based on Navy Federal's risk management strategy.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify security needs, assess system vulnerabilities, recommend appropriate security controls, oversee the implementation of security solutions and provide guidance on security best practices.
Work independently to solve unique and highly complex problems that have broad impact on the business.
Contribute to the development of functional strategy by recommending best practices and process improvements.
Requirements
Master’s degree in information technology or the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
15+ years of experience in information security or security architecture
Broad expertise in specialization and complete understanding of related disciplines, such as infrastructure, IOT, cloud, identity and application security.
Expert knowledge of security protocols across the security stack (L1-L7) and industry best practices to secure them.
Expert knowledge of existing technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/protection systems, data loss prevention, proxies and API gateways.
Expert knowledge of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (GenAI, ML), blockchain and Quantum Computing.
Expert knowledge of enterprise information technology (IT) architectural concepts and patterns (e.g., baseline, validated design, target architectures.)
Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
Expert communication and teamwork abilities.
