  • Instructional Designer I at Navy Federal developing instructional courses tailored to learner needs. Collaborate for employee training and manage instructional design projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage instructional design projects and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
  • Develop instructional courses tailored to meet the desired learning outcomes and needs of Navy Federal and the learners
  • Collaborate to implement strategies for educating and training employees to achieve higher levels of performance
  • Utilize a variety of techniques to define and sequence instructional content and strategies
  • Create curricula by quickly and efficiently learning/processing large volumes of information and by conducting research on subject matter
  • Remain supportive of business unit/organizational training needs and refresh the training and materials as needed throughout its lifecycle
  • Work under minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Ability to adapt to fluctuating work-flow
  • Ability to compile, organize and present information clearly and concisely
  • Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of courses and learning products and delivery methods
  • Experience in researching/writing course content and/or developing courses, demonstrations, graphic designs and other technology driven products
  • Advanced knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, educational theory, tools and resources
  • Working knowledge of instructional design to develop courses for products, processes and/or skills
  • Desired - Experience in multi-media training
  • Desired - Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and procedures
  • Advanced skill to successfully influence, lead and/or guide others towards goals
  • Effective database and presentation software skills
  • Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Effective research, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Effective skill capturing and translating processes and requirements into easily understood terms
  • Effective skill collaborating with various external and internal technical and/or functional contacts
  • Effective skill communicating with all levels within an organization
  • Effective skill in assessing organizational training needs and researching topics for course development
  • Effective skill in building strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership

  • Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, business, communication, behavioral sciences, training development or related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
