About the role

  • Sales Executive responsible for acquiring new customers in Public/Defense sector with tailored software solutions. Joining an innovative team at mimacom to drive digital transformation.

Responsibilities

  • New client acquisition: Identify and win new customers and projects in the Public and Defense markets in Switzerland and Germany for tailored software solutions.
  • Pipeline development: Systematically build and actively maintain a high-quality sales pipeline through structured lead generation, qualification (e.g., MEDDPICC), and consistent opportunity follow-up through to closing.
  • Consulting: Analyze prospects’ needs and advise on custom software development, cloud, data, and AI solutions.
  • Proposal management: Prepare proposals and manage tenders in close collaboration with management.
  • Contract conversion: Win public framework agreements and convert them into revenue.
  • Networking & events: Build and maintain your network by taking part in meetups, customer events, and trade fairs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years in IT consulting or custom software development.
  • Proven track record in new client acquisition with a focus on custom software, cloud, data, or AI solutions.
  • Experience and an existing network in the Swiss Public and/or Defense sector.
  • A network in the German Public/Defense sector is a plus.
  • Experience working with structured public tenders at national and regional levels (e.g., cantons, cities).
  • Proficiency with relevant platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce).
  • Business‑fluent German (C1) and fluent English (B2).
