About the role

  • Associate Director coordinating student transitions and family engagement programs at Miami University. Responsible for managing orientation for first-year students and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Design, provide direction for, and implement orientation programs for more than 4,000 first-year students, 300 transfer students, and more than 5,000 family members.
  • Partner with the Director and lead the Assistant Directors in planning and executing office-wide programs.
  • Foster campus partnerships and lead orientation planning groups with key university partners.
  • Coordinate all aspects of orientation programs including staffing, program development, logistics, and implementation.
  • Teach section(s) of the one-credit University 101 courses for new first-year and/or transfer students.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, completed by the start date.
  • 3 years of post-undergraduate, professional experience in higher education, with a focus on student affairs or a related field.
  • Experience with programs for new college students.
