About the role

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor Inside Sales Specialists to achieve individual and team performance goals
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of responsibilities
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one development sessions
  • Provide performance feedback, manage evaluations, and address performance issues when needed
  • Oversee qualification of inbound marketing leads and customer web inquiries
  • Ensure accurate routing of qualified opportunities to appropriate sales personnel
  • Support the team in identifying additional customer needs and expanding product/service opportunities
  • Analyze sales metrics to identify strengths, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure accurate and timely CRM data entry, tracking, and documentation
  • Implement best practices for CRM usage and sales process optimization
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Field Sales to align campaign strategies and improve lead conversion
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness
  • Promote a customer-first mindset within the Inside Sales team
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns and ensure consistent, high-quality service
  • Prepare and present reports on team performance, pipeline health, and key sales metrics
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of industry-related sales experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or lead role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated success in inside sales and team leadership
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • CRM experience required
  • Familiarity with analytical instrumentation is preferred
  • Previous sales training (e.g., Miller Heiman – SPIN Selling) preferred
