Responsibilities
Supervise, coach, and mentor Inside Sales Specialists to achieve individual and team performance goals
Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of responsibilities
Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one development sessions
Provide performance feedback, manage evaluations, and address performance issues when needed
Oversee qualification of inbound marketing leads and customer web inquiries
Ensure accurate routing of qualified opportunities to appropriate sales personnel
Support the team in identifying additional customer needs and expanding product/service opportunities
Analyze sales metrics to identify strengths, trends, and opportunities for improvement
Ensure accurate and timely CRM data entry, tracking, and documentation
Implement best practices for CRM usage and sales process optimization
Collaborate with Marketing and Field Sales to align campaign strategies and improve lead conversion
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness
Promote a customer-first mindset within the Inside Sales team
Resolve escalated customer concerns and ensure consistent, high-quality service
Prepare and present reports on team performance, pipeline health, and key sales metrics
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field preferred
Minimum three (3) years of industry-related sales experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or lead role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated success in inside sales and team leadership
Strong written and verbal communication skills
CRM experience required
Familiarity with analytical instrumentation is preferred
Previous sales training (e.g., Miller Heiman – SPIN Selling) preferred
