About the role
- Junior Event & Group Sales Manager optimizing event sales at Meliá Frankfurt City. Handling inquiries, creating contracts, and managing customer relationships while ensuring excellent service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Handle all inquiries for the Event & Group Sales department
- Execute category-appropriate selling with the goal of optimizing rates and revenue
- Prepare contracts for groups and events and manage all detailed arrangements
- Conduct property/site tours
- Create function sheets (banquet event orders)
- Welcome and assist clients on-site
- Responsible for invoicing after events
- Conduct post-event closing discussions and debriefs
- Manage and maintain the existing client base
- Onboard and train new colleagues and trainees
Requirements
- Completed vocational training or degree in hospitality and professional experience in a comparable position
- Open and friendly demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently, in a structured manner, and meet deadlines
- Result- and revenue-oriented approach
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Organizational skills and ability to work well in a team
- Excellent written and spoken German and English; additional language skills are an advantage
- Ideally experienced with Opera Cloud and common MS Office applications
