About the role

  • Entry-level Operations Analyst managing operational processes in the insurance benefits sector for MDS. Involves client focus, data processing, and continuous improvement tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all operational movements for insurable and non-insurable benefits (enrollment, cancellation, modification, upgrade and/or plan extension) using carriers' and/or insurers' portals and systems to ensure all processing is completed correctly.
  • Process the billing kit using carriers' and/or insurers' portals and systems to prepare and deliver it to the client in an organized and secure manner.
  • Reconcile invoices by verifying all data and information contained in the billing kit files to ensure that all performed movements have been processed correctly.
  • Review all received documents by identifying contradictory data or information, gaps, errors, incorrect numbers or documents, and outdated information to protect against issues that could cause losses for the business and/or client.
  • Maintain the control register of all movements performed by entering the necessary data and information to ensure effective tracking of actions taken.
  • Provide empathetic, customer-focused service through attentive communication and understanding of needs to clarify questions and provide necessary information regarding the billing and/or allocation process.
  • Evaluate dependents who reach majority age (monthly report in billing and insurers' registration status) by analyzing reports issued by carriers and/or insurers to process exclusions due to age limits.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement through mapping performed during process execution and the application of procedures and workflows, suggesting actions to enable continuous improvement in operational performance.
  • Perform other related duties inherent to the role as required by the area, through training, professional development and guidance from the immediate supervisor to ensure continuous professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Human Resources Management or related fields
  • Basic knowledge of Excel
  • Experience in the insurance area with operational processes for health, dental and life products
