Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of a mechanical engineering team
Play a client-facing role in new work
Provide expert engineering guidance to support the Designer of Record
Conduct design reviews and quality control checks
Uphold project protocols and standards
Review construction submittals and RFIs
Utilize tools like Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat
Coordinate with Senior Engineers and Project Managers
Develop scopes of work and estimates
Contribute to marketing proposals
Stay current with industry trends
Requirements
15+ years of experience
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
Business development and sales experience in the MEP industry
Strong leadership skills and management experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficiency with Revit, Trane Trace 700 or IES VE, and MS Office Suite
Available for periodic travel
Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) applicable to mechanical and plumbing engineering (preferred)
Department of Defense (DoD) project experience (preferred)
Plumbing design experience (preferred)
Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building certifications (preferred)
