About the role

  • Senior HR Consultant providing strategic HR advisory services and client relationship management at MaxPeople. Drive HR projects and build long-term partnerships with diverse small to mid-size organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR partner for a dedicated portfolio of clients.
  • Provide clients with HR advisory support including employee relations issues, conflict resolution, performance management, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Advise on long-term people strategy as our clients move from startup to growth stage
  • Conduct HR audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and upselling within client accounts.
  • Stay current on employment law updates and HR trends to keep clients compliant and competitive.
  • Mentor junior consultants and advisors and contribute to the firm’s growth and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including client-facing consulting roles.
  • Experience working with startups is an asset.
  • Degree focused in Human Resources Management, or relevant HR certification
  • CHRL or similar certification strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • A thought leader who can appropriately challenge a client and ask thought-provoking questions.
  • High degree of confidentiality and professionalism, and an ability to build strong working relationships across various disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey new information in an easy to understand manner
  • Exceptional time management and ability to prioritize. Recognition of the importance of attention to detail and quality results in all that we do.
