About the role

  • Client Activation Specialist ensuring operational launch of new client accounts for a leading freelance marketplace. Supporting client onboarding and managing processes during acquisition phase.

Responsibilities

  • Support client operations during the acquisition pilot phase: set up client companies so Malt can carry out initial staffings and projects, and onboard hiring managers to the platform. Project management scope includes validation of AR, PO management, and renewals.
  • Be accountable for the full client account setup, coordinating with the client and Malt’s finance team. The Client Onboarding Specialist remains responsible for correct client configuration throughout the client lifecycle, not only during initial setup.
  • Conduct product demos for clients.
  • Document client-specific processes in Notion (knowledge management).
  • Manage handovers to Global / Enterprise / Public / Managed SMB customer administrators.
  • Empower client autonomy: present the platform’s benefits and deliver demos to teach clients how to manage their operations independently.
  • Partner with Sales Account Executives (SAEs) to build strong collaboration.
  • Scale processes: identify operational pain points and collaborate with Business Operations and Product teams to implement automated solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience: Background in Customer Experience Management, Operations, or Account Management with strong business acumen.
  • Tech Stack: Comfortable in a product-driven, marketplace environment and fully proficient with CRM tools.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, conflict-resolution techniques, and experience managing stakeholders.
  • Operational Mindset: Proven track record running client interviews and product demos, configuring CRM accounts, and a passion for process optimization.
  • Languages: Native-level proficiency in French and English; Spanish and German are a plus.
