About the role

  • HR Manager overseeing full-spectrum human resource functions for LUXASIA, driving operational and strategic HR initiatives in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full spectrum of human resource functions; from recruitment to exit management.
  • Manage end to end recruitment and develop, plan and execute talent acquisition strategy and resourcing / workforce plan in support of business requirements and the organization’s staffing objectives.
  • Support talent management initiatives and training & development programs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Country T&E Lead, oversee team execution, internal communication, and provide support on various HR projects and assignments.
  • Ensures local operational support is conducted in an effective and efficient manner and continuously seeks process improvement.
  • To partner with business leaders on HR agenda to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Manage and oversee payroll processes, ensuring timely completion, generating reports, conducting variance checks, and reconciling payroll transactions.
  • Liaised with all governmental departments to ensure compliance with legal governmental requirements.
  • Ensured that all HR related policies and procedures are adhered to and align with the Group HR policies and procedure.
  • Conducted counselling and managed disciplinary matters with regards to all matters concerning staff discipline, domestic inquiry, misconduct investigation, etc.
  • Managed manpower budgeting, including cost management, headcount turnover, and preparation of annual salary review and bonus forecast budget files.
  • To provide coaching and mentorship to T&E team members across all work processes.
  • Act as a catalyst and lead transformative initiatives for positive change through HR interventions.
  • Drive and engage in company activities to create good working culture and encourage ‘One Team’ mindset in LUXASIA.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Psychology or HR related discipline; or an equivalent blend of relevant education and professional experience that supports successful job performance.
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience in a HR Business Partner role or full spectrum of human resource functions; preferably in a multinational or luxury retail environment.
  • Proactive and not afraid to get into the details to get things done.
  • Good knowledge of local labor legislation and industrial acts.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage change in organizations.
  • Self-starter, energetic, positive and strong problem-solving skills driven by data, business acumen and meticulous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as vLookup, xLookup, Pivot Tables, and more.
