About the role

  • Senior Application Administrator ensuring operational quality for area-related applications at Luminor. Responsibilities include incident resolution, monitoring, and service continuity in the financial services sector.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high availability and stability of area-owned applications.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLOs.
  • Support incident post-mortems, root cause analysis, and preventive action implementation.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and recovery procedures.
  • Monitor applications health, logs and interfaces to detect and prevent service disruptions proactively.
  • Perform configuration tasks, application deployments, and scheduled maintenance for applications in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Participate in testing and rollouts for patches, upgrades, and new feature releases.
  • Focus on automating operational tasks and improving deployment - build the guardrails, pipelines, and automation that lets the team move fast and deliver results.
  • Collaborate closely with the Service Desk, DevOps, infrastructure, cybersecurity, engineering teams, vendors and Product Owners.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, data privacy, and security standards required in the banking sector.
  • Manage observability toolset — dashboards, alerts, and runbooks using the Grafana stack (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Alertmanager).
  • Maintain and build GitLab CI/CD pipelines and support GitOps workflows.
  • Manage and improve infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Write automation scripts in Bash and Python to remove recurring manual tasks.
  • Manage workloads on Kubernetes (k8s) and contribute to cluster reliability.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT application support or software engineering, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, and change management.
  • Strong analytical skills, service mindset, and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  • Experience supporting applications in production environments.
  • Availability for on-call rotations, maintenance and incident support outside business hours.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, ELK).
  • Solid understanding of GitLab pipelines and GitOps principles.
  • Practical AWS knowledge — compute, networking, storage, IAM.
  • Comfortable operating on Linux and Windows systems.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Working knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure-as-code.
  • Kubernetes knowledge — deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining workloads.
  • Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication.
