About the role

  • Account Manager developing top clients in a family-owned business with a focus on growth. Handling proposals, coordinating projects, and ensuring a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • You manage and develop our top customers in close coordination with the Account Manager.
  • You ensure smooth quotation preparation and processing, route inquiries and coordinate all internal departments for complex projects.
  • You proactively support the preparation, implementation and monitoring of customer-specific agreements (e.g. framework agreements, delivery concepts), oversee their execution and intervene actively in case of disruptions.
  • You process customer orders and resolve open issues.
  • You work closely with Account Managers and internal departments (Technical, Logistics, Tendering team, etc.) to ensure a consistent customer approach ("One Voice to the Customer") and smooth order processing.
  • You support potential/opportunity analyses and contribute to the creation and implementation of customer-specific development plans.
  • You maintain sales-relevant data in the ERP and CRM systems and regularly report defined KPIs to the team leader and Account Managers.

Requirements

  • Completed commercial or technical vocational training and approx. 3 years of experience in sales – ideally in a trading company or a similar environment.
  • Confident use of ERP/CRM systems and MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong process and system understanding.
  • Strong skills in needs analysis, consultative advice and in building long-term customer relationships.
  • Team orientation, coordination skills and a solution-oriented working style.
  • Hands-on mentality and the ability to solve challenges independently.
  • Careful, reliable as well as structured and organized way of working.
