About the role

  • HR Assistant supporting recruitment for maritime roles, managing CV screening and candidate interviews, within a hybrid working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the conduct of recruitment processes for maritime positions (crew, operational support, and related administrative roles)
  • Screen resumes according to technical requirements (maritime certifications, sea service, regulatory standards, etc.)
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and candidates
  • Conduct initial competency-based interviews, when applicable
  • Assist with validation of mandatory maritime documents (certificates, qualifications, required courses)
  • Update and maintain spreadsheets and recruitment systems (vacancy status, candidate pipeline, SLAs)
  • Liaise with internal departments (Operations, Compliance, Occupational Health & Safety, and Payroll/Personnel)
  • Support the hiring/onboarding process, ensuring submission and verification of documentation
  • Monitor area KPIs (time-to-fill, number of vacancies, profile fit)
  • Contribute to improvements in recruitment processes to increase speed and accuracy

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed in Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related fields
  • Previous experience with recruitment and selection (desirable)
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Desirable experience with operational or technical vacancies
  • Advantage: knowledge of maritime routines or regulatory requirements
  • Interest in working in Recruitment & Selection
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective workload management
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of Excel
  • Experience checking maritime documentation
  • Knowledge of the maritime sector
  • Previous experience in HR or administrative routines
  • Knowledge of recruitment platforms (e.g., Gupy)
  • Experience managing a high volume of vacancies
