About the role

  • Executive Assistant supporting the COO for Insurance, Pensions & Investments at Lloyds Banking Group. Involved in managing the executive office and influencing operational decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the IP&I Chief Operating Officer in the day-to-day management of their role, ensuring record keeping of the office is kept to a high standard and align to the Executive Handbook, Group policies and standards
  • In conjunction with the Personal Assistant, and Business Support Manager, coordinating the efficient day to day running of the Executive Office in line with team needs and priorities
  • Ensuring the smooth running and alignment of IP&I COO team meetings and calls, including briefings and agreement of agendas and shaping of relevant content and material
  • Ensuring that the IP&I COO is suitably briefed for all committee, board and regulatory sessions in a timely manner, working with the leadership team where required to ensure additional information is on hand
  • Screening incoming information and communications sent to the IP&I COO, responding, rerouting and prioritising as appropriate
  • Developing and writing high quality papers for senior audiences such as Board or Executive committees, distilling complex information into compelling narratives
  • Engaging senior partners to influence key business decisions, improve ways of working across teams and stay ahead of emerging matters to ensure the IP&I COO is appropriately represented
  • Working with the broader leadership team to develop and implement plans specific to the IP&I COO, considering the wider business, customer, colleague, risk, governance and regulatory context
  • Building relationships with our Business Partners such as Finance, Risk and People, to provide high quality support and ensure that budget targets, risk, compliance and agreed service level standards are met
  • Undertaking specific research on a wide range of subject matter, recommending solutions/actions where appropriate
  • Collaborating closely with internal communications teams and Group Corporate Affairs to plan, co-ordinate and deliver events, presentations and communication activities, ensuring appropriate messages are aligned to business strategy and communicated to key audiences

Requirements

  • Strong analytical foundation, gained through experience in finance, consultancy, M&A, or a similarly technical field
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong application of judgement
  • Be able to react to multiple and constantly evolving demands with experience of delivering effectively through others
  • Be able to navigate complexity, distil detailed information into clear, actionable insights, and bring structured thinking to fast‑paced environments
  • A good understanding of financial services and experience in proactively managing risk would be advantageous.
