About the role

  • Manager IT Accounting for Fortune 500 company evaluating investment strategies and managing asset investments. Leading technology portfolio investment tracking and implementation of asset management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manages technology portfolio investment; evaluates optimal investment strategies and provides tracking to business partners.
  • Creates and manages enterprise-wide asset management systems and serves as liaison as it relates to the functions of this position.
  • Ensures corporate and legal guidelines are followed for managing technology hardware and software investments.
  • Responsible for the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of asset management processes for all technology assets.
  • Defines requirements for asset acquisition and procedures to include management and disposal strategies for the enterprise.
  • Responsible for technology investment budget preparation, coordinates with procurement on receipt of purchase orders, invoice processing and reconciles changes in inventory.
  • Deliver spending counsel for priority technology projects, monitoring performance and identifying options to achieve business targets.
  • Analyze current technology spend processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Determines areas of opportunities for continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting required.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in spend analysis and asset management.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and assimilate relevant data into key recommendations.
  • Ability to present complex investment and asset data using detailed reports and charts to both internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated successful interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong ability to think logically and analytically, problem-solve, build consensus, and lead initiatives in an organized and efficient manner.
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with SAP/BPC or other multi-dimensional database tools preferred.
  • Experience effectively working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and work with limited oversight in a fast-paced environment, ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment.
