About the role

  • Area Sales Manager driving sales strategies and market expansion for Knauf, a leading global construction materials manufacturer. Fostering partnerships and managing key client relationships in South Greece.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of regional sales strategies to consistently surpass budget targets, while maintaining analytical reporting standards on a daily, weekly, and monthly cadence.
  • Enforce high standards of commercial discipline across the partner network, ensuring full alignment with corporate policies and executing quarterly financial reconciliations.
  • Strategically broaden Knauf’s geographical footprint by identifying and onboarding high-potential channel partners while maximizing the product range and market penetration of existing accounts.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with major contractors and technical firms to funnel high-value project leads and champion the contractor loyalty ecosystem.
  • Act as a dedicated point of contact for complex customer challenges, leveraging internal technical resources to provide swift, high-quality solutions and maintain brand integrity.
  • Orchestrate targeted market activities and technical seminars to stimulate demand and position Knauf systems as the preferred choice for modern construction.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, emerging architectural trends, and evolving Government regulations to proactively adapt regional tactics.

Requirements

  • A University Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • At least 5+ years of experience in technical sales or project management within the building materials or construction industry, preferably within multinational environments.
  • Experience in navigating Government project tenders and large-scale public infrastructure works.
  • Advanced ability to analyze market trends and interpret sales data to drive long-term regional growth.
  • A track record of engaging with key influencers—including architects, technical offices, and contractors—to generate project leads and build loyalty.
  • Excellent command of English and proficiency in digital tools (CRM, MS Office)
