Responsibilities
Main point of contact for all accounting-related queries
Responsible for recruiting, hiring and technical onboarding of new staff
Preparation and production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (including provisions, depreciation and accruals)
Perform account reconciliations, supplier reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
Processing incoming invoices, dunning and cash reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies in close coordination with our stores
Close collaboration with Controlling on budget planning, forecasts and analyses
Preparation of annual tax returns (corporation tax, trade tax, VAT) including complete supporting documentation and coordination with external tax advisors
Preparation and management of all payment processes for the DACH region
Planning and supervision of inventories and analysis of results
Responsible for fixed asset accounting (creation, maintenance and depreciation of fixed assets)
Participation in payroll accounting (posting payroll, reconciling payroll accounts, liaising with external payroll providers)
Active involvement in process optimizations, digitization projects and system implementations
Requirements
Degree in Business Administration or a comparable commercial qualification (e.g., certified balance-sheet accountant/Bilanzbuchhalter)
Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in a senior role
Solid knowledge of financial statement preparation under HGB and IFRS
Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP is a plus
Strong knowledge of financial accounting and experience with ERP and accounting systems
Experience working with tax advisors and auditors
Leadership skills and enthusiasm for developing team members
Structured, self-reliant and solution-oriented working style

Excellent German language skills; good English skills are an advantage
