About the role

  • HR Operations Specialist managing payroll relationships across Europe and North America. Ensure compliance and optimize employee benefits and payroll operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with our payroll providers in Europe and North America, ensuring timely payments, smooth operations, and effective troubleshooting
  • Benefits administration, including enrolling employees in new benefits, answering questions, and relaying feedback
  • Facilitate employment contract issuance and signing for incoming staff, supporting the HR and Legal teams with updates to existing contractual templates as needed for new and existing staff
  • Collaborate with HR Operations teammates to create and implement payroll operations, a suite of benefits, and other jurisdiction-specific policies for new entities
  • Onboard and offboard employees from payroll systems
  • Partner closely with HR Operations teammates and Finance to ensure data integrity and a seamless flow of information impacting payroll
  • Assist with optimizing our payroll and benefits-related internal processes through new automations or integrations between our tools (HRIS, ATS, payroll portals)
  • Research and communicate relevant labor law regarding compensation, taxes, and paid leave to ensure our policies are compliant across multiple jurisdictions
  • Perform salary, bonus, and benefits optimization projects for our employees, maintaining competitive, value-driven compensation packages

Requirements

  • At least two years of previous experience in an HR Operations or Payroll/Benefits role, supporting employees based in more than one country
  • A strong understanding of payroll systems, taxes, and common benefits, with the ability to quickly learn these conditions in a new jurisdiction
  • Experience managing relationships with multiple external service providers and/or payroll providers is a significant plus
  • Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and responsibilities effectively under pressure
  • A deep curiosity for digital assets and financial services, and the ability to make decisions based on value added for our business and our talent strategy
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with teammates and other stakeholders, whether you work remotely or join one of our offices
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with operational delivery. To both conceptualize a program or event and execute the steps to bring it to life, for example.
  • Fluency in English (our working language).
  • Experience with Notion or our HRIS (HiBob) is a strong plus.
  • Ability to operationalize automation/AI tools is a strong plus.
