About the role

  • Payroll specialist responsible for processing payroll while ensuring compliance in children's intensive care service. Seeking detail-oriented individual for part-time or full-time roles.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of payroll and wage statements for employees, taking into account allowances and premiums (e.g., overtime, night work, holiday pay)
  • Reporting to accident insurance providers and employers' liability insurance associations
  • Deduction of taxes and social security contributions (income tax, solidarity surcharge, church tax)
  • Reporting social security contributions to health insurance funds
  • Preparation of wage tax filings and submission to the tax office (Finanzamt)
  • Maintenance of employee master data (e.g., address, tax class, bank details, social security number)
  • Updating records when changes occur (e.g., salary increases, tax class changes, parental leave)
  • Independently handling written and telephone correspondence with employees, health insurers, authorities, and external partners

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in a commercial or tax-related field, or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in payroll processing
  • Proficient in MS Office and ideally experienced with common administrative/ERP systems such as DATEV
  • Good written and spoken German
  • Assertiveness and strong communication skills
