About the role

  • Team Leader in Sales for HVAC field at Johnson Controls, leading sales staff and ensuring client satisfaction in Germany. Focused on market analysis, client relations, and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Disciplinary and technical leadership of sales staff in the assigned sales territory
  • Development, training and support of sales staff on established sales processes, applications and standards, with responsibility for ensuring compliance with these processes and standards
  • Close cooperation with the HVACR sales teams (Industry and Energy) and with engineering during the preparation of proposals
  • Analysis of the market situation and current business performance
  • Alignment of current business development with market potential and development of solution strategies
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with contractual obligations
  • Independent management of existing customer relationships to secure and expand business
  • Independent conduct of contract and price negotiations in accordance with the applicable DoA (Delegation of Authority) policy
  • Development of an annual sales plan including budgeting and alignment with the business plan for the designated sales territory

Requirements

  • Degree in Refrigeration Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience and proven skills in sales; leadership experience is an advantage
  • Experience with public tenders, in particular VOB/B (German Construction Contract Procedures) is an advantage
  • Strong customer and market knowledge in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, heat pump solutions, energy suppliers and planners in the building sector, and building automation—especially within the assigned sales territory
  • Independent and responsible working style, leadership competence, strong communication and negotiation skills, strategic and entrepreneurial thinking, goal orientation and assertiveness
  • Very good English skills, both spoken and written
