Responsibilities
- Posting to bank accounts, including allocation and accurate posting of incoming payments
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Monitoring and reconciling open items, due dates and deadlines in the accounts receivable area
- Close collaboration with other departments and serving as a point of contact for our customers to clarify open items and resolve issues
- Active receivables management by handling the dunning process, including efficient collection of outstanding receivables, drafting payment agreements and initiating legal procedures to find optimal solutions
- Credit checks and analysis for new customers
- Analysis and monitoring of the existing customer portfolio, ongoing review of credit limits to anticipate, identify and escalate issues early in order to minimize the risk of payment delays or defaults
- Reviewing and lifting delivery blocks, maintaining master data, and verifying VAT identification numbers
- Medium-term expansion of receivables management responsibilities to the sonnen Group
Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial/business apprenticeship or an equivalent qualification
- Three to five years of professional experience in accounting with a focus on accounts receivable and/or receivables management; further training as a Certified Credit Controller is desirable
- Strong communication skills and customer/service orientation
- Organizational talent and reliability
- High self-initiative, assertiveness and negotiation skills
- Independent and structured way of working as well as the ability to work in a team
- Very good written and spoken English
- Experience with SAP accounting software and MS Office is an advantage
