About the role

  • Payroll Specialist managing payroll processes for a portfolio of clients at a corporate advisory firm. Involves client relationships, documentation, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and handle payroll processes
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Prepare engagement forms and documentation for new hires and terminations
  • Handle submissions for new clients with the IRD and Jobsplus, including terminations for local and foreign employees
  • Provide ongoing payroll support and guidance to clients
  • Support and mentor junior team members

Requirements

  • 2+ years of payroll experience with a Maltese company
  • Formal tertiary education in a related field
  • Fluency in English at C2/native level, both written and spoken
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills
  • Experience with Shireburn Indigo is considered an asset
  • Proficient in MS365, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organised with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
