About the role
- Safety Business Partner providing outstanding safety support across Wisconsin, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement in the safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders at all levels in the region, including customers, to provide outstanding safety support
- Conduct jobsite inspections and lead training and assurance efforts
- Develop and maintain work policies, standards, and procedures
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Identify areas for improvement and contribute to Ahern’s continuous improvement journey
- Travel to different Wisconsin job sites with a company vehicle on a regular basis, with occasional overnight travel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an Occupational Safety program or related field
- Three-plus years of work experience in the construction safety field is also preferred
- Ideal candidates will possess one or more of the following: CSP/ASP/GSP, CHST, STS-C, or be an OSHA Outreach Instructor
- Demonstrate ability to thrive in a proactive, fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Possessing strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to execute tasks with a great amount of detail
- Possess the ability to lead the safety culture within worksite locations
- Proactive problem solver, able to assess risk prior to incidents occurring
