About the role

  • Area Sales Manager responsible for customer acquisition and account management in Products sector in Mitteldeutschland. Collaborating with stakeholders and providing technical support to clients.

Responsibilities

  • New customer acquisition and (key) account management for the Central Germany sales territory (core area: Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate) in the Products segment, in line with strategic direction
  • Customer support in close coordination with internal stakeholders: Lifetime Service, ASM Solution and ASM Service
  • Technical consulting for customers and support with the implementation of customer applications
  • Close cooperation with Internal Sales on quotation preparation, price lists, delivery agreements, etc.
  • Responsibility for contract management and insolvency protection (e.g., invoice tracking, dunning/collections, etc.)
  • Monitoring market trends and buyer behavior and providing feedback to Global Product Management and the R&D center to drive the development of new products and applications
  • Maintaining the customer database and ensuring all information is up to date (SAP/CRM)
  • Representing the company at trade shows and customer events

Requirements

  • Completed technical degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering; alternatively state-certified technician/master or equivalent qualifications
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a technical environment — e.g., intralogistics plant engineering, drive technology, control engineering, or similar
  • Strong service and customer orientation
  • Independent, self-motivated working style
  • Strong communication skills and technical enthusiasm
  • Very good German and English skills (at least C1)
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the sales territory and to the relevant production sites
