Responsibilities
Working with the Director of IT Business Partners, the Manager, IT Business Partner is responsible to lead the strategic alignment between Celestica's business units in Japan and global IT capabilities.
Able to facilitate and run a detailed requirements gathering workshop with the appropriate business subject matter experts.
Build close relationships with the functional areas the role is responsible for to understand what IT capabilities they need to innovate, grow, improve efficiencies, or address compliance requirements.
Facilitate and function as a liaison between business units and IT’s development team to design and implement new solutions to meet business requirements.
Ensure that applicable project management practices are followed throughout project lifecycles.
Research current technology and its function within the enterprise and apply specialized technical knowledge to improve business processes.
Requirements
10+ years' related experience is appropriate for a managerial role that includes project management and strategic partnership.
Experience in performing objective analysis and re-engineering of business processes to maximize quality service and cost-effectiveness
Understanding of Electronics Manufacturing and Operations (operation terms and concepts), Production planning, Logistics and operational processes
Knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Architecture is a plus
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in Japanese (e.g. native-level or JLPT N1/N2) and English with both local business stakeholders and global/HQ IT teams.
Bachelor's Degree. University degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a combination of work experience with education.
