About the role

  • Key Account Manager developing customer relationships and growth strategies for the leading surface technology company. Responsible for strategic expansion and planning with clients in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • You manage and develop a defined portfolio of customers, consisting of existing and new clients, including responsibility for the strategic expansion of business relationships.
  • You are responsible for implementing sales and growth strategies.
  • You strategically develop your major accounts within the sales region.
  • You are responsible for planning, preparing and meeting the revenue and sales targets for assigned sales territories in cooperation with Sales Management and Controlling.
  • Identifying new business opportunities based on market, industry and company analyses, and deriving recommendations for action, is part of your responsibilities.
  • You are responsible for preparing and conducting negotiations with customers.
  • You are responsible for compiling and evaluating customer, competitor and market data.
  • You prepare and deliver presentations for customers and senior management.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in business administration or a technical field.
  • Ideally, you have already gained experience in a comparable technical environment.
  • Extensive experience with major accounts as well as in international sales.
  • You present yourself professionally and have strong communication and presentation skills.
  • You are a team player with the hands-on mentality typical of mid-sized companies.
  • You have assertiveness and a confident demeanor.
  • You are proficient in using ERP and CRM systems for planning and controlling business processes and in using MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • You have very good English skills; additional foreign languages are an advantage.
