Business Development Representative responsible for prospecting and developing new business opportunities for logistics services. Collaborates with teams for customer transitions and account management.
Responsibilities
Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, email outreach, networking, and other lead generation strategies, to identify potential enterprise-level customers.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers through consistent prospecting activity and follow-up efforts.
Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities based on customer fit, transportation spend, geography, modes, and business needs.
Schedule and participate in discovery calls and initial customer meetings.
Present IEL’s services and value proposition aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
Support the onboarding process for newly acquired customers.
Coordinate the transition of newly acquired customers to Enterprise Account Managers (EAMs) and Enterprise Customer Relationship Managers (ECRMs).
Communicate customer expectations, operational requirements, and relevant account information to internal teams to support a successful transition.
Collaborate with Enterprise Account Sales Managers (EASM), Enterprise Sales Operations Managers (ESOM), and other internal business partners regarding account fit, onboarding, and transition planning.
Maintain effective communication with internal teams throughout the customer acquisition and transition process.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospecting activity, customer interactions, and pipeline updates within company systems.
Represent IEL professionally in all customer interactions and communications.
Follow established sales processes, procedures and best practices.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Experience with lead generation, prospecting, or sales development
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
