About the role
- Project Delivery Manager overseeing new water main installation projects across the North region. Collaborating with teams to ensure compliance and efficiency in project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage new water main installation projects for development sites across the North of our region.
- Work closely with the Project Delivery Coordinator managing the lifecycle of a project and with the Pre-Construction Team to provide industry leading design standards.
- Collaborate across all Developer Services Teams and contract partners to establish smooth and efficient workflow processes.
- Support Developers through construction activities, ensuring compliance with Construction (Design & Management) Regs 2015 and Water Quality practices (POSWSH).
- Responsible for ensuring that all new assets are installed and commissioned to Anglian Water’s minimum asset standards.
- Manage project expenses ensuring costs are controlled within budget.
- Carry out full reconciliation of costs at project completion stage comparing planned versus actual costs to provide accurate evidence of costs for final invoice.
Requirements
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent (preferably in a relevant subject such as Engineering)
- Significant Project Management and commercial awareness
- Experience of identifying, developing and managing new business opportunities.
- Sound Understanding of Construction Design Management
- Ability to build excellent customer relationships and possess strong negotiating and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and change and to think strategically and analytically.
- Utility knowledge desirable
- Knowledge of water fittings and materials or similar
- Attention to detail coupled with excellent time management and strong IT skills are key
- Experience in all Microsoft Office packages
- A water distribution engineering background would be an advantage.
