About the role

  • Academic & Workforce Program Manager overseeing semiconductor workforce initiatives and business development at UT Austin. Leading program operations and stakeholder engagement to enhance educational alignment and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day coordination and execution of workforce initiatives, including milestone management, implementation planning, and partner support.
  • Coordinate communication, meetings, and decision-making processes with State Leads, Governance Board members, and Workstream Leads.
  • Facilitate employer convenings, faculty and partner workshops, Communities of Practice, and advisory groups to strengthen education–industry alignment and ensure broad partner engagement.
  • Support development, refinement, and adoption of semiconductor-related curriculum and training resources; coordinate dissemination of NNME Hub and Node materials across partner institutions.
  • Coordinate rolling RFP cycles; support proposal development; manage subaward tracking and partner deliverables.
  • Support development of sustainability models, fee-for-service structures, cost-recovery strategies, and partnership pipelines.
  • Assist with financial modeling, budget forecasting, expenditure tracking, and revenue analysis for workforce programs or the Regional Node.
  • Coordinate all KPI collection, evaluation requirements, data-sharing agreements, and reporting cycles.
  • Prepare briefings, external communications, reports, and public presentations.
  • Maintain documentation, processes, onboarding systems, partner communications, and operational infrastructure necessary to support TIE WFD or the fully scaled NNME Regional Node.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, engineering, business, public administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in workforce development, higher education, technical training, economic development, or multi-institution program management.
  • Experience with program budgeting, business operations, or financial planning.
  • Strong project management skills and experience coordinating complex partnerships.
  • Strong experience with industry engagement and developing industry-driven education and training programs.
  • Excellent communication and public-facing presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze workforce and program data for decision-making.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
