About the role
- Procurement Engineer responsible for strategic vendor management related to Laser Scanning Unit technologies. Working closely with HP R&D and suppliers globally, driving cost-effective and high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- This role is responsible to manage strategic vendors related to Laser Scanning Unit (LSU) technologies and modules.
- Work in an international organization, interacting with suppliers and organizations worldwide.
- Collaborate closely with HP Laser Printers R&D to understand new technology needs and provide market inputs.
- Master the market manufacturing and components/modules suppliers for commodities like semiconductor laser, Theta lenses, PCBA, polygon motor, and modules.
- Continuously improve Cost, Quality, Assurance of Supply, and identify new business opportunities.
- Lead project team of other procurement engineers and internal partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.
- Drive the development of moderately complex products and contribute to process efficiencies.
Requirements
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in sourcing, engineering design or industrialization of LSU modules/technologies, and its implementation across hardware development lifecycle, or a related field or an advanced degree with >5 years of work experience.
- Project Management Advance Business Degree (MBA or similar).
