Responsibilities
- Responsible for the sourcing strategy of several technologies which includes: Anticipating the business needs by working closely with R&D.
- Building market technology and cost intelligence at part/subsystem/function level, identifying the possible suppliers.
- Influencing early design decisions to get the most efficient inbound supply chain for new products.
- Responsible to select and manage the assigned suppliers which includes: Integrating the needs of all the NPD Programs and driving their results.
- Negotiating with vendors pre and post manufacturing release.
- Growing a strong partner relationship by building personal empathy and thru proactive and fair interactions.
- Leading HP internal alignment, ensuring consistent messages to the vendors.
- Periodical business reviews to suppliers, including performance evaluation and development plan.
Requirements
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design and solutions, implementation across hardware development lifecycle, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
