About the role
- Director of Nursing overseeing licensed and non-licensed personnel providing care at Hickory Recovery. Ensuring quality client care in compliance with regulations and facility policies.
Responsibilities
- Directing the activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel who provide health care & nursing services to clients.
- Maintaining operations of the Nursing Service Department to ensure high quality client care.
- TB testing for clients and employees, placing PPD, reading results, completing, and maintaining documentation.
- Scheduling COVID testing, vaccinations, recording and maintaining Covid documentation for clients and staff.
- Medical Records - assisting in providing requested records, confirming ROI, sending medical record requests, etc.
- Maintaining medical supplies and stock medications monthly.
- Maintain and adjust nursing schedule and cover open shifts as needed.
- Leading infection control efforts and monitoring client isolation/quarantine.
- Ordering, drawing, and receiving labs as ordered by licensed providers.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school for professional nurses and licensed in good standing in the state where work will be performed.
- Valid RN license
- At least 2 years prior experience as an RN preferably with hospital and behavioral health experience
- At least one year of supervision experience in the nursing field.
- Certified BLS provider.
- Satisfactory OIG exclusions and background check.
- Satisfactory personal & professional references.
