About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead data governance, privacy and compliance across all people systems
  • Ensure alignment with Australian employment legislation and internal policies
  • Provide oversight of Workday stability, releases, integrations and enhancements
  • Drive accurate, timely and meaningful workforce reporting and insights
  • Develop and maintain people policies, procedures and employment templates
  • Assess and manage people‑related risk and assurance activities
  • Partner with IT, Payroll, Finance and senior leaders on systems and governance
  • Lead, coach and develop a small specialist team

Requirements

  • A degree in Human Resources, Law or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience managing HRIS / People Systems (Workday highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation, governance and data privacy
  • Proven experience leading system improvements and complex people processes
  • Advanced reporting, analytics and executive‑level communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capability
  • Experience in industrial, construction, resources or manufacturing environments (desirable)
  • Exposure to large blue‑collar workforces and complex industrial instruments (desirable)
  • Experience leading investigations, assurance activities or M&A integration (desirable)
