About the role

  • Business Development Manager driving partner sales pipeline for AI solutions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Collaborating across BUs to unify AI strategy and support business development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Are responsible for creating and driving the partner sales pipeline.
  • Understand the market for AI solutions and translates it into HPE x-BU portfolio sales plays.
  • Coordinate AI sales activities in CE across BUs, ensuring a unified AI strategy towards the partner environment.
  • Work with colleagues across BUs to coordinate AI portfolio specific activities, initiatives, incentives, enablement.
  • Use specialty expertise to seek out new opportunities and expand and enhance existing opportunities to build the pipeline in and drive pursuit.
  • Provide support to PBMs and specialists and provide input regarding business development and solution expertise.
  • Develop objectives and future direction for AI GTM.
  • Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with the partners, up to and including the C-level for mid-to-large partners, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry.
  • May invest time working with and leveraging external partners to deliver sale.
  • Direct or coordinate supporting sales activities.

Requirements

  • BA or BSc in Business / Marketing / Computer Science (MA, MSc, MBA a plus)
  • 8+ years’ experience in Category Business Development / Sales / Marketing / Go-To-Market
  • Considered an expert in knowledge of products, solution or service offerings as well as competitor's offerings to be able to sell large AI solutions.
  • Understanding the industry and market segment in which key opportunities are situated, and integrates this knowledge into consultative selling.
  • Understanding and applies program/project management methods and processes to define, plan, cost, resource, track and ensure successful pursuit.
  • Understanding the role of IT within area of specialization and how the company's solutions differentially address specific vertical industry challenges as well as their cross-segment capabilities.
  • Collaborating with management, solution partners like NVIDIA, AMD or others and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of specialist sales with other sales activities.
  • Establishing a professional working relationship, up to the executive level, with the client.
  • High service or product knowledge and professionalism in researching and sharing service-related information with account teams and partners.
  • Deep knowledge of products, solution or service offerings as well as competitor's offerings.
  • Understanding how to leverage the company's portfolio and change the playing field on our competitors.
  • Leverages services as part of strategic product sales.
  • Maintain expertise of industry trends, associated solutions, and key partner/ISV solutions.
  • Business proficiency in English and German language.
