Object Manager representing Grün Berlin and maintaining the historically significant Berlin Wall Trail. Collaborating with teams to ensure high-quality information and experience along the trail.
Responsibilities
As Asset Manager (m/f/d) you will act as the client representative for Grün Berlin GmbH and play a decisive role in preserving and enhancing the historically significant Berlin Wall Trail.
Maintenance of individual sections of the trail as well as the overall inventory of signage and informational elements
Conducting inspections by bicycle to assess condition, determine update needs, or verify completed measures
Receiving and processing damage reports
Tendering, commissioning, supervision and invoicing of service providers
Close, cooperative collaboration and coordination with colleagues responsible for project development
Acceptance and handover of completed projects into ongoing maintenance
Coordination with landowners and other stakeholders (e.g., Stiftung Berliner Mauer)
Year‑round responsibility for the asset, from involvement in financing to reporting and documentation
Maintenance of a GIS‑based register
Point of contact for inquiries regarding the Berlin Wall Trail
Requirements
Degree (or equivalent) in landscape planning, urban and regional planning, geography, transport planning, or relevant professional experience
Experience commissioning and accepting works in landscape construction/gardening or civil engineering desirable
Knowledge and experience in project or property/asset management
Knowledge of public construction and procurement law (VgV, VOB, VOL, HOAI) and the applicable rules of technology and standards
Experience with GIS software advantageous
Business‑fluent German
Service‑oriented mindset and strong communication and cooperation skills
Interest in the history of the Berlin Wall
Willingness to regularly and independently cycle longer sections of the Wall Trail
