About the role
- Field Operations Technician responsible for on-site installations and support of sensing systems at Gridware. Collaborating with utility partners and ensuring installations meet safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing on-site installations, maintenance, and support of sensing systems.
- Work closely with utility partners and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ensure high-quality installations that meet safety and performance standards.
- Planning and overseeing installation of devices on electric poles in remote areas.
- Working with line crews to provide instructions and supervision during installation process.
- Acting as liaison between Gridware and utility companies, local authorities, and community members.
- Utilize internal tools to maintain accurate records of installation activities.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in field installation, technical support, or a related role.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to provide clear direction and effectively oversee contractors and line crew personnel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate professionally with cross-functional teams, crew members, and utility customers.
- Ability to work independently in the field and adapt to dynamic and changing environments.
- Strong proficiency in spoken & written English.
