About the role

  • Sales Manager focusing on Transmission and Distribution Technology for Power Grids in German-speaking markets. Leading growth initiatives and enhancing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and realise our growth ambition in the German speaking market of Power Grids
  • Assist with advisory services in expanding, reinforcing and optimizing the utilization of grids while leveraging digital transformation
  • Monitor market developments, analyse new business opportunities, increase market visibility, drive lead generation, lead project bids, and sponsor projects
  • Work closely with other Sales Managers and Key Account Management to monitor and anticipate market developments
  • Utilise market intelligence to set the strategic direction for Power Grids services in your focus area
  • Increase visibility in the market and extend C-level relations in the Transmissions and Distribution Technology in the German speaking markets
  • Generate leads and act as the opportunity owner for medium to large opportunities
  • Act as a Project Sponsor for projects where you were the opportunity owner
  • Support your operational delivery team(s) with setting the priorities during periods of scarcity of resources
  • Coach consultants and engineers within the teams.

Requirements

  • Strong skills in business strategy, sales pipeline management and market analysis, with a focus on advisory services
  • Experience in identifying opportunities, managing bids and increasing market presence
  • Demonstrated ability to seize and close commercial opportunities and impact business growth and profitability
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in networking and customer engagement, with a focus on building long-term relationships
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Proven ability to develop strategic roadmaps and advisory services in a fast-paced, changing, complex and ambiguous environment
  • Strong analytical skills to quickly understand and analyse complex issues and problems, and to understand market trends and make sound judgments
  • Ability to define market share within own area and set ambitious, realistic targets for growth
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Proven ability to coach/mentor and develop professionals
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusivity to define the best project-teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills to handle complex issues and manage conflicting priorities
  • Innovative mindset to generate fresh ideas and solutions, promoting change and novelty
  • In-depth knowledge of the Electricity Transmission and Distribution sector in German speaking markets
  • Good understanding of Transmission and Distribution market, in particular related to Grid Expansion, its players and dynamics
