About the role
- Production Control Manager directing daily operations and scheduling in manufacturing at Graphic Packaging. Leading production control and liaising between sales and plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Directs and coordinates the day-to-day activities of purchasing, scheduling, shipping and receiving, customer service and production control
- Acts as liaison between sales, service, manufacturing and plant operations
- Actively monitor, maintain, and control work schedule and back-log for all plant processes
- Manage production materials and Third party vendors for outsourced production
- Prepares plant capacity and demand plans
- Provides new business leadership in partnership with the plant manager and production team
- Lead employee certification and re-certification activities including all safety initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; MBA preferred
- Demonstrated experience in production planning, plant scheduling and/or production control within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of raw materials ordering, inventory coordination, and supply planning.
- 7 years of management/leadership experience in the offset printing industry or similar manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
