About the role

  • Administrator role in hospital education service supporting outreach and teaching teams. Ensuring positive relationships with students, parents, and professionals while managing administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Join the hospital education team to support our outreach team and those who teach in Gloucester Royal Hospital.
  • Working Monday to Friday, approx.8:00am to 4:00pm for 39 weeks per annum, (term time plus In-service days) 37 hours per week.
  • Collaborate with our team, students, parents, and other professionals associated with our students.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to develop positive relationships with the wider school community.
  • Welcoming, polite with a positive outlook.
  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Has a professional telephone manner and is confident on the phone.
  • Excellent administrative and ICT skills.
  • Knowledge of SIMS would be beneficial; however, training will be provided.
  • Is able to manage and prioritise own workload.
  • Has the ability to multi-task with great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality regarding the nature of the work and act with integrity, high levels of tact and discretion.
  • Is well-organised, flexible, calm and resilient.
  • Has the ability to relate well to children and adults.
  • Works constructively as part of a team, with an understanding of school roles and responsibilities.
  • Ideally you will have worked in an educational setting, but we will provide training for anyone who hasn't.
