Responsibilities
Drive the labor relations strategy for Germany in partnership with Business Labor Relations roles.
Lead deployment of company-wide initiatives in Germany in collaboration with the HR Country Lead.
Advise global management and project leaders on labor issues and risk management within the country.
Manage the direct relationship with the Group Works Council of the GE Vernova shared legal entity and with trade unions.
Report to the supervisory board on labor relations matters as part of the management board (Arbeitsdirektor).
Build strong partnerships with country HR leaders and operations management to effectively manage employee representatives.
Organize knowledge sharing to communicate new approaches and best practices.
Support preparation for key business negotiations and act as a non-participating advisor during critical local collective bargaining as needed.
Provide labor relations expertise to anticipate and address complex situations and develop solutions.
Advise on labor relations considerations in potential acquisition and divestiture decisions.
Requirements
Extensive experience in labor relations in Germany (manufacturing environment preferred).
Fluent in German and English.
Master’s degree or equivalent knowledge/experience in labor law or industrial relations.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with business acumen to interact effectively with business leaders.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Ability to balance challenging and complex business priorities with strong employee advocacy.
Proven ability to lead programs and projects.
Willingness to travel approximately 20–30% to attend Works Council meetings in person, visit other sites in Germany, and join Labor Relations team meetings as needed to support activities in Europe.
