About the role

  • Systems & Products Value Manager improving productivity and cost in hydro value chain by driving initiatives and collaborating with functional experts. Engage in analysis to optimize cost efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Pilot cost savings initiative across the value chain (Design to Installation), from cost saving ideations to implementation in execution.
  • Analyze and develop a deep understanding of Hydro systems and products in every aspects (designs, commodity structures, fabrications and industrial schemes, site installation) to identify and quantify areas for productivity improvement.
  • Conduct ideation workshops by mobilizing Functional Experts and Specialists to identify sources of cost inefficiency and generate executable cost saving ideas on the total costs of ownership.
  • Develop cost saving initiatives business cases and prioritize efforts with each function based on savings potential, targets, development timelines and resources allocations.
  • Establish and pilot road maps and actions plans to develop and deploy cost saving initiatives in both projects and tenders.
  • Mobilize and partner with Functional Leaders and Variable Costs Productivity Champions in the value chain organization to ensure consistent progress on identified saving opportunities until their implementation in execution.
  • Capture saving impacts on spending proving productivity materialization in execution, capture lessons learned and feedbacks from the value chain teams to continuously improve the productivity process.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across the value chain by engaging both ITO and OTR leaders, promoting a unified approach to productivity improvement.
  • Collaborate with ITO Tendering Teams during costs deep dive to optimize deal offering to reach competitive costs level and ensure mature cost saving initiatives are captured in tenders and in ITO processes and tools.
  • Recommend improvement actions across the value chain based on industry’s best practices, market standards and benchmarks with other GE Vernova businesses.
  • Identify collaboration possibilities with other GE Vernova businesses to improve costs competitiveness (industrial schemes, volumes, standardizations, …).
  • Support the Variable Costs Program Manager to track and report cost savings funnel progress and impacts on the bottom line.
  • Monitor Cost overruns in OTR to identify recurrent sources of non-quality impacting productivity improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, supply chain management, site installation or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in productivity management, cost reductions programs, should costs management or operational excellence within industrial, manufacturing, or utility sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in cross-functional project management and driving cost-out initiatives.
  • Proven data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational metrics.
