About the role

  • Key Account Manager responsible for managing established client portfolio with focus on Deutsche Bahn. Building client relationships and identifying market opportunities in the German transportation sector.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for taking over, managing and strategically developing an established key account portfolio
  • Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships at decision-maker and project levels
  • Identifying and developing new market and business opportunities
  • Planning and conducting customer visits, presentations and business meetings
  • Preparing proposals and structurally leading the proposal process
  • Close cooperation with Marketing, Project Management and internal specialist departments
  • Preparing monthly forecasts with a focus on orders received, revenue and contribution margin
  • Representing the company at trade fairs and industry events
  • Regular maintenance of the CRM and reporting of sales activities
  • Supporting sales-related projects and taking on tasks within the sales team

Requirements

  • Degree or vocational training in business administration, sales or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in sales and key account management, ideally in the rail or public transport (ÖPNV) sector
  • Strong sense for customer needs and a confident manner at decision-maker level
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Structured, independent and target-oriented working style
  • Proficient in MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics (CRM)
  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally internationally
