About the role

  • Fire Operations Specialist enforcing fire protection standards within Ford. Requires collaboration across teams for compliance, prevention, and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Enforcing and supporting fire protection standards and processes within Ford.
  • Collaborating with Corporate Fire Protection Engineering, Ford Land, Safety, and other internal skill teams.
  • Managing risk based on recognized internal processes, technology, and resources.
  • Supporting a proactive, consultative, and business-aligned culture and approach to Ford Motor Company Global Security & Fire deliverables.
  • Providing input and support as a technical subject matter expert to Ford facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fire Protection Engineering, Bachelor of Science, Risk Management, Fire Science, or a related field, with three (3) years of fire protection experience or a combination of education and work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of fire protection and prevention principles related to risk management.
  • Excellent knowledge of fire codes and standards.
  • Experience with 3rd party service management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills (soft skills).
  • Demonstrated ability to:
