About the role

  • IT Support Specialist providing day-to-day technical support at Focused Energy in Berlin. Ensuring smooth onboarding, maintaining internal systems, and resolving IT issues in a customer-focused manner.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT issues via Slack, email, or ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues (Mac/Windows, printers, Wi-Fi, VPN, etc.).
  • Provide timely resolution or escalate issues as needed.
  • Assist employees with productivity tools (Microsoft 365).
  • Prepare and configure laptops, headsets, and other equipment for new hires.
  • Conduct IT onboarding sessions for new employees.
  • Manage account provisioning and deprovisioning across systems and tools.
  • Ensure proper collection and reset of devices during offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of laptops, peripherals, and accessories.
  • Track equipment assignment and returns.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on devices.
  • Support user access requests and permission changes.
  • Assist with identity management tools (Azure AD).
  • Support endpoint management (Intune).
  • Document troubleshooting steps and create internal knowledge base articles.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose improvements.
  • Support small IT projects as needed (office setup, network upgrades, security enhancements).

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of macOS and/or Windows environments.
  • Basic knowledge of networks, VPN, and common productivity tools.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in English and German.
  • Nice-to-Have: Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Familiarity with MDM tools such as Jamf, Intune, or Kandji.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience supporting hybrid or multi-office environments.
  • Interest in IT security or system administration as a growth path.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and German
